2016 blog of Pittsburgh magician Al Mazing

(well...at least the first quarter of the year!)

I started out by busking first night Pittsburgh with close up magic shows, but it still drew a large crowd (see picture)

I traveled to a national children's entertainer's convention in Washington, D.C. and took away some great ideas i'm excited to share with my audiences.

In this picture i'm trying to pass a kidney stone. I haven't called off "work" in 7 years (I had a valid reason - my son was born 5 weeks early!)

In a recent facebook magician's forum, one or 2 people argued that you can't do magic for 2 year olds. I have to disagree, while they lack 'object permance', they still love to be entertained! Here is a picture of 2-5 year olds at one of my shows.

I seen this in the newspaper, and gosh, I always look scary.  The photographer is awesome, you just can't make this face look good, lol. So far this year has been a fun one. for more information about my magic shows, reach me through my website almazing.com

Mayor of Pittsburgh needs a Magician!

Even the new Mayor of Pittsburgh needs a Magician!

OK, tongue in cheek, but having great entertainment, bringing people together, and creating memories is always important. What kind of magician would the mayor hire?  What kind would You? If you think it's expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur. Unlike a generic, low priced magician, In order for a professional entertainer to keep their show sharp, experienced, and constantly improving - they don't perform just on the weekend, but week days and every chance they get!

Here's a picture of me performing at 2014 First Night right into the New Year in sub-freezing weather!

(no, my tummy isn't that big, I had 4 layers of clothing under my suit!)

Gathering a crowd, managing, and entertaining them is a skill I learned street performing - this is a skill I now use for my festival clients. If your planning a festival, take a look at Pittsburgh Magician Al Mazing do for you!

2014 is shaping up to be a great year - So many memories after looking at  2013 Year in Review on Facebook.
